We understand every wedding is unique and we can tailor our service to meet your needs. We are experienced in delivering you a stress free, special day.
Menus are created and tailored to suit each occasion.
All our dishes are prepared and cooked entirely in our ‘A’-excellent-rated kitchen using the best local produce. We are flexible with menu options and also cater for special dietary requirements with notice.
These include lecture and speaker series evenings, oyster lunches, Black-tie dinners, cocktail receptions, Christmas celebrations, wine, beer and whisky appreciation events, amongst a range of other entertainment opportunities.
Members’ events are a great way to make long lasting friendships and important professional connections.
The Club can be used for business or private functions; from a small dinner party for 4 to a formal sit-down banquet for 100. The Dunedin Club is a magnificent venue in every respect; from the food and service, to the décor and ambience.
Hosting a private party with friends or a corporate event? We offer a number of multi-purpose private rooms for smaller or more grand occasions. Contact us for further information.
The Dining, Reading and Ritchie Rooms are home to the Club’s most formal meals. The Dining Room has a mid-Victorian décor and a conservatory with windows overlooking the garden and fountain, providing plenty of natural daylight.
Despite its name, The Reading Room is now a place to enjoy private functions or smaller lunches seating around 30 guests. The windows overlook the garden and fountain and showcase the Club’s well-maintained grounds.
The Ritchie Room, named after the Ritchie family who have dedicated much time and generosity to the Club, is the smallest of our three dining rooms. It is the perfect space for holding smaller dinners of up to 15 guests, or meetings and other business-related functions.
R W M Greenslade Room, also known as both the Bar and Card Room, is located near the rear of the Club and opens up to the lovely terrace and garden where members can enjoy a drink or meal underneath our well-established chestnut and camphor trees.
The warm and timeless décor is ideal for enjoying an aged whisky or a pint of Emerson’s in your own engraved pewter. Choose a table by the fireplace and order something delicious from our traditional Friday night grill or bar menu.
Throughout the year our fantastic sports clubs stay active. Each group holds tournaments and casual games, with dinners and other various other events also being enjoyed by Members involved. All skill levels are welcome.
The overnight guest rooms are available for the comfort of Club Members, their out-of-town guests and visiting affiliated Club members.
Set in a charming heritage-listed boutique property near the heart of the city, the Dunedin Club is not only an excellent choice for accommodation, but also a delightful venue for a conference or wedding reception.
Charges are very competitive.
Smart, tidy casual dress is the minimum requirement for the Dunedin Club. T-shirts and sneakers are not accepted.
Members are all advised of their responsibility to ensure that they and their guests are suitably attired.
